Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Phone and account information: your phone number, messaging route, consent and age-confirmation records, login records, and trial or membership status.
• Messages and practice: messages you send, AI replies, typed tile racks, learning notes, preferences, and practice history.
• Rack photos: photo coaching is not currently supported. Our application does not download, analyze, or store photos you send. Your messaging provider and Photon may receive attachments before our application rejects them. Do not send official cards or sensitive images.
• Billing records: payment and checkout references, amounts, and access status. Stripe holds and processes your payment-card information; we do not store your full card number.
• Technical information: delivery and error records, security logs, login cookies, and your saved appearance preference.

How we use it

We use information to deliver and personalize coaching, authenticate accounts, manage payments and access, process refunds and deletion requests, troubleshoot problems, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Conversations may be reviewed by the operator for quality and support. AI responses can be wrong; avoid sending passwords, payment-card details, or sensitive personal information.

Who processes it

• Photon: messaging delivery, routing information, and messages.
• OpenAI: our AI provider, which processes your current message and relevant history and learning context to generate coaching.
• Stripe: checkout, payment-card details, payments, and refunds.
• Supabase (planned): database hosting for accounts and conversations. The current prototype uses a locally managed database; Supabase is not yet receiving this prototype’s data.

Hosting and infrastructure services may also process technical information needed to operate the service. Providers may retain information according to their agreements and legal obligations. We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect users and the service.

No sale of personal information

We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use advertising trackers on this website. Providers receive information to perform the functions described above.

Retention and photos

We keep account and conversation information to provide coaching and support until it is no longer needed or you request deletion, subject to the exceptions below. Generated illustrations of typed racks are cleaned up after 14 days. There is no current photo archive in our application.

If photo coaching is introduced, our intended retention period for photos stored by us is approximately 30 days. That feature and its deletion controls are not active today. We will update this policy before introducing it; we do not promise a 30-day deletion schedule for attachments held by messaging providers.

Delete your data and control memory

Text DELETE MY DATA to clear conversation content, learning notes, and practice context from our active coaching database, invalidate website login sessions, and stop coaching texts. Minimal account, payment, consent, and opt-out records may remain where needed for billing, legal obligations, and honoring your opt-out. Generated rack illustrations expire on the schedule above. Deletion does not automatically cancel billing or remove messages from your own device.

The request is also flagged for operator review of provider-held records. Provider records and backups are not instantly erased by the text command. Email contact@textmahjong.com for account, provider, or other privacy requests. We may verify your identity and retain information where the law permits or requires it.

Text MEMORY to see learning notes or FORGET MEMORY to reset personalization without deleting conversation logs. Text STOP to stop coaching texts and START to resume.

Cookies, tracking, and browser choices

Login-verification cookies last up to 10 minutes; session cookies last up to 30 days. Your theme preference is saved in local storage. Clearing cookies signs you out. Our website does not respond differently to Do Not Track signals because it does not perform cross-site advertising tracking. Third-party services you visit, including Stripe checkout, have their own policies and browser controls.

Adults only and security

The service is for adults 18 and older. If you believe a minor provided information, contact us to request review and deletion. We use safeguards to protect information, but no online service is completely secure.

Your rights and policy changes

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete information or object to certain uses. Send requests to contact@textmahjong.com. We will consider requests under applicable law.

We will update the date on this policy when it changes and provide notice of material changes through the website or your account contact information. If a future LLC becomes the operator, we will identify it and give notice before transferring responsibility for your data; existing privacy commitments continue unless changed lawfully.
