You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. Use a phone number you own or are authorized to use, and provide accurate account and payment information.

An AI coach, not a table referee

Text Mahjong provides AI-generated American mahjong answers and practice. Answers can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Ask your teacher or the person responsible for your game for table rulings, and consult the official materials when needed. We do not guarantee a particular learning result or instant, uninterrupted replies.

We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the National Mah Jongg League. We do not display or distribute its official annual card or verify a winning hand against it. Obtain your own official card and do not upload or send copies of it.

Texting consent

You can initiate a conversation yourself or sign up by submitting the website form after reviewing its texting notice. By requesting coaching texts, you authorize automated welcome, coaching, and account messages to the number you provide. Frequency varies with your use and preferences. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to stop texts or START to resume. For help, email contact@textmahjong.com. Stopping texts does not cancel a paid subscription. Delivery depends on your carrier and messaging provider.

Trials and payments

The free trial does not require a payment card and does not automatically convert to a paid plan. Trial limits are shown in the service or offer.

Review the price, duration, and billing terms at checkout. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew until canceled. Stripe processes payments. A one-time purchase, if offered, is identified as such at checkout and does not renew. We will give notice of price changes as required before they apply.

Cancellation and refunds

Email contact@textmahjong.com to cancel future renewals. Include the phone number associated with your account. Canceling keeps access through the period already paid unless that payment is refunded.

Payments are non-refundable except where required by law. Cancel anytime to prevent future renewals. Access continues through your paid period.

For a billing error or refund required by law, email us or text REFUND for review. This policy does not remove rights under applicable law or any refund promise that applied when you purchased.

Appropriate use and your content

Use the service for lawful personal learning. Do not impersonate others, send abusive or unlawful content, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, or submit material you do not have the right to share.

You keep your rights in the content you submit. You permit us and our service providers to process that content to deliver coaching and operate the service as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend access for abuse, security concerns, or violations of these terms.

No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. We do not warrant that answers are correct or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limits of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising from or relating to the service is limited to the total amount you paid us for the service. To that same extent, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

These limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, violations of law, or any liability or consumer right that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

California law

California law governs these terms, without applying conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable federal law or mandatory protections in your place of residence require otherwise.

Changes and a future business entity

We may update these terms and will provide notice or obtain agreement where required. If the service transfers to a company formed to operate Text Mahjong, we will identify the new operator, update these terms and the Privacy Policy, and give notice before the transfer takes effect. Any transfer remains subject to applicable law and will not remove your existing refund or privacy rights.
